LOGOS
KOWLOON EP (KEYSOUND)
For his first EP on Keysound Recordings, the label that has had releases from both Wiley and Zomby, Logos unleashes four tracks of sublime eski funk.
The A-Side presents "Kowloon" and "Atlanta96", two glacial arp-jams that revisit Wiley's effortlessly brave beatless "devil mix" idea.
The B-Side, whose label features a photo taken by Wiley of the very synths he used to re-wire garage, enters more percussive realms.
"King Mob VIP" is like "Kowloon" in negative, the boney exoskeleton to the A-Side's fluid flesh.
Finally "Error 808" is 8-bar grime from a Swamp81 mindset, complete with a familiar-yet-twisted infectious vocal hook.
