These archive recordings from the period when John Cooper Clarke was managed by Rabid (Anthony Ryan Carter, Laurence Beedle and Martin Hannett) show JCC at his most incisive, witty and creative.
Martin Hannett would often just put a microphone in a room where JCC was sat holding a conversation and record the witty banter or Martin would turn up and record one of JCC's live performances.
