Alog is a Norwegian duo founded by Dag-Are Haugan and Espen Sommer Eide (who also record under the name Phonophani). They have already released four wonderful albums of electronic music, three of them on Norway's famed Rune Grammofon. 'Islands Of Memory' is their fabled lost six-track EP which was recorded during the summer of 1999 in Malmo, Sweden. Originally scheduled for release around the time of the 'Duck-Rabbit' CD for Rune Grammofon, due to pressing problems it never saw the light of day, and was left simmering in a vinyl cauldron somewhere in Switzerland.
