"Slør" hereby follows up on the English-spoken "Bridges", previously released this year, and although we are talking about two different albums sung in two different languages, we are still talking about two related works of art. EIVØR furthermore announces a European release tour.

Where "Bridges" is light and wistful, "Slør" is raw and reflecting. "Bridges" is inspired by homesickness, friendship and love. "Slør" on the other hand ponders on separation, longing to belong and searching for freedom. Like a bridal veil "Slør" ultimately symbolizes both happiness and surrender.

EIVØR further explains what led her to writing two albums during the same process: “While I was writing the songs, the texts came to me in both English and Faroese – like a reflection in the mirror. Most of the songs were thus written in pairs”." Slør" and "Bridges" are consequently both one piece of art and two different albums at the very same time.
