Established in 2004, ASHES OF POMPEII has been to all kinds of places; places that offer new perspectives and experiences, some exhilarating, some unsettling, all insightful.

Over two hundred shows in Germany, Austria and the UK prove that this band is all about curiosity, discovery and the broadening of their horizon.

,Places" ist the band's third album, and their first release on Midsummer Records. Musically, the four-piece continues to offer a charismatic mixture of post-hardcore and alternative rock, led by Tobias Mösch's distinctive and fluctuating voice and guitars that oscillate between heavy, doomy walls of sound like in ,Lighteater" and the thoughtful, complex soundscapes of songs like ,Gunkanjima".

With some of their most compact and sophisticated songs to date, ,Places" is an authentic, abrasive, deeply touching piece of work that proves yet again that ASHES OF POMPEII are far ahead of their competition and companions.
