With the new album The Great Cybernetic Depression on the horizon, Princess Chelsea shares the new single "Too Many People" - the follow up to "No Church On Sunday" (a stadium rocker with added fairy dust).

In "Too Many People", Princess Chelsea waxes lyrical over what sounds like the soundtrack to an 80s fantasy film but also somehow sounds like fellow Flying Nun legends The Chills at times.

The juxtaposition of the fairly negative lyrics and the happy and fantastical musical arrangement make for an odd and effective pairing.

"Too Many People" also features Jonathan Bree (from The Brunettes/Sub Pop) - her bandmate, co-producer and duet partner in the internet sensation "The Cigarette Duet" (with over 20 million hits and counting!).

In homage to many great '70s synthesizer records that would have a concept or story behind them, Princess Chelsea (a.k.a.

New Zealander Chelsea Nikkel)'s new LP is themed around a made-up metaphorical world event "The Great Cybernetic Depression", which occurs 10 years into the future.

Depression can sometimes feel like the apocalypse to an individual and referencing this fictional event several times through the album, Chelsea channels her anxieties and sings about personal relationships over the past three years, weaving in and out of her narrative.
