SUFJAN STEVENS will releases his new album „Carrie & Lowell“ via Asthmatic Records, his own record label on Marc 27th. Whetting our appetites, last week saw the release of the first single "No Shade In The Shadow Of The Cross". The song sounds epic but chilled at the same time and thus offers a good first impression of the new album. “Carrie&Lowell” war recorded by STEVENS himself who worked with an impressive cast of guests including Casey Foubert, Laura Veirs, Nedelle Torrisi, Sean Carey, Ben Lester and Thomas Bartlett. Classically, the eleven songs on the record strive to come to terms with the concepts of life and death, love and loss.

A few weeks before the release of „Carrie & Lowell“ there will be a number of exclusive pre-listening shows. These events will be organized by the label and fans will be able to give „Carrie & Lowell“ a spin via wireless headphones just by themselves in total silence – SUFJAN STEVEN’s very own silent disco!
