The Readymades were from S.F. tand plkayed dates with Blondie , Police, Roxie Music, Patti Smith and the Talking Heads The Readymades were one of the most influential West Coast Punk and New Wave bands, led by Jonathan Postal.

They worked with Sandy Perlman (The Clash, Dictators, Blue Oyster Cult) and courted by Jon Cale of the Velvet Underground.

One of San Francisco's early New Wave bands, The Readymades put out an 18 song album, recorded in 1978, not available on CD before now.

Their single "Electric Toys" was the only independent record to be in regular rotation on KSAN who also broadcast a live half hour of their music.

They played with groups including Blondie, Patti Smith, Nico, The Stranglers, The Police, Talking Heads, Roxy Music and DEVO in venues including Oakland Coliseum, Whiskey-A-Go-Go, Cow Palace, Old Waldorf, Starwood, Winterland and the Mabuhay Gardens.

It's best to tell the Readymades story though quotes from the press, starting in 1977 and ending in 1979.

This release offers the best of the Readymades, a shining jewel that paints a picture of that eras in music.

Jonathan Postal is also well known for his photography and his handmade guitar line * John Cale wanted to produce them but chose to go with manager/producer Sandy Perlman who produced the Clash and other major groups of the era * First time available on CD * They were the only unsigned band to get into regular rotation on KSAN * They were inn heavy rotation on KSAM and KSJO, the top radio stations in Northern California * They opened for major acts including DEVO, Blondie, Roxy Music and Patti Smith Press Quotes 'one of the most significant bands on the West Coast.' _Huge Cornwell, The Stranglers 'Offbeat Single of the Week' _Sounds Magazine (England)
