Pre-DWARVES release from 1985! More than an adolescent punk relic, this album is the blueprint of a band bound for cult status.

Raw, wild, and real! Before they became infamous as THE DWARVES, these teenage misfits from suburban Highland Park, Illinois, went by the name SUBURBAN NIGHTMARE.

In 1985, they dropped A Hard Day's Nightmare -a raw, explosive dose of garage-punk adolescence, now reissued on vinyl by Bang! Records in a strictly limited run of 500 copies.

This is where the chaos began: fuzzed-out riffs, snotty vocals, and the kind of degenerate energy that only kids with nothing to lose can summon.

The band's infamy kicked off in 1983, when they were expelled from high school for hiring teen art models to pose nude with bowls of fruit on their heads during a pep rally.

A year later, SUBURBAN NIGHTMARE was born, and the notorious Skull and Boners logo-courtesy of underground artist Jon Straus-sealed the deal.

A Hard Day's Nightmare is more than just a teenage punk artifact-it's the unfiltered blueprint of a band about to go off the rails and onto cult status.

Shortly after this release, they changed their name to THE DWARVES, relocated to San Francisco, and never looked back.

This vinyl reissue captures the filthy, fun spirit of early '80s punk like nothing else.
