The debut album Cocktail by the Parisian electro-rock group, which played in French, was released in the summer of 1979.Ciné Palace recorded their first album in a studio near the Gare de l'Est.

As they only had a week to record the ten tracks, the band found a perfect ally in Bruno Lambert, the sound engineer.

The songs were written together and the album was released a few weeks before AC/DC's Highway To Hell.
