Chick was originally in the groups Anastasia Screamed and Scarce, releasing his solo debut in 2001 after a six year break from the biz due to a brain haemorrhage.

WWR offers the first ever vinyl outing of this truly great album. Chick Graning has one of those bizarre rock'n'roll biographies which make your head spin.

He started in Boston and hung out there with all the great underground names in the late eighties.

Then he formed his own band Anastasia Screamed that recorded a couple of singles and one lp (Laughing Down The Limehouse) in the season 1991/92.

It was the time of grunge, and Anastasia Screamed was one of the best representatives of its softer, more contemplative side, the one that was coming from Boston area.

Later, he formed a new band with Joyce Rasin - Scarce. Scarce was close to a national breakthrough in the late 90s, when Chick Graning in June 1995 had a brain haemorrhage.

He was discovered by his bandmates, bassist Joyce Raskin and drummer Joseph Propatier, who broke into Chick's apartment, worried after he had not met a bandwagon.

Their action saved Chick's life, but he was in a coma for 18 days. After the break, Chick has been quite passive in the music industry.

But in 2001 he released a solo record with a rocking trio. This is a record that deserves to be heard but which very few people unfortunately know - a "forgotten treasure" as it is called.

For fans of Superchunk, Scarce, Pixies, The Gun Club New conceived cover artwork, 140 gr black vinyl pressing (325 units) from Optimal, with padded inner.
