Founded in Southern Germany in 2018, the band MAFFAI ranges between angry indie rock and delicate post-punk.

Brilliant songwriting, clever instrumental arrangements and a lush, transparent production make their debut Album ZEN a highlight amongst this years releases.Maffai combine catchy guitar melodies, wavy synths, teenage angst and danceable sounds.

Their song TUNNELBLICK shows that despite pop aspects in their sound, their lyrics are far from superficial.

AKNE KID JOE members Sarah and Matthias also give the song their support.With ZEN we might have a future classic in our hands, either way it's an excellent album.
