SHABAZZ PALACES kündigen heute direkt noch ein Album an! Quazarz vs. The Jealous Machines, das vierte Album der Band und Zwilling zu Quazarz: Born on a Gangster Star, wird ebenfalls am 14. Juli weltweit via Sub Pop veröffentlicht. Das Album, mit Highlights wie “30 Clip Extension”, “Julian’s Dream (ode to a bad)” und “Effeminence”, wartet mit Gästen wie Fly Guy Dai von Chimurenga Renaissance, Amir Yaghamai, John Carroll Kirby, Thaddillac, Morgan Henderson, The Shogun Shot, Laz und Purple Tape Nate auf.

Quazarz vs. The Jealous Machines wurde von Palaceer Lazaro und Sunny Levine produziert und in Seattle bei „Protect and Exalt Labs: A Black Space“ und in den „Marina Del Rey at Dror Lord“ Studios aufgenommen. Gemixt haben es Levine und Kamal Humphrey im „Kamal’s House“ Studio.

Quazarz vs. The Jealous Machines ist ein komplett eigenständiges zweites Album mit neuem Material, das das QUAZARZ Universum weiter ausbaut:

Quazarz Vs. The Jealous Machines tells the tales of Quazarz, that sent sentient from some elsewhere. A wave warrior wielding his sonic sword. Posted to the turnt-up states of Amurderca here on the Gangster Star to chronicle, explore and enjoy as a musical emissary. He discovers a world where humankind’s relationship with their tech-devices has become weirdly sensual, seducing a sedentary seamlessness with humans, while capturing and incarcerating the results of their imagination. Quazarz vs The Jealous Machines finds our protagonist with his dazzling cohorts rising a collective Nah to the device and the guilds that proliferate them.

SHABAZZ PALACES zuvor angekündigtes, drittes Album Quazarz: Born On A Gangster Star wird ebenso am 14. Juli via Sub Pop veröffentlicht. Das Album, inklusive der Highlights “Shine A Light” (ft. Thaddillac), “Since Caya” und “Moon Whip Quäz” (ft. Darrius), wurde produziert von Knife Knights (aka Ishmael Butler und Erik Blood) und aufgenommen und gemixt von Blood in den Protect and Exalt Labs: Einem „Black Space“ in Seattle.
