ISLAND APES are a British band formed in the East Midlands in 2018. The current line-up consists of a number of British underground punk legends: Guitarist/producer Dean Selby, drummer Antronhy, vocalist MKJ and bassist David Ryley.

Antronhy was Nirvana's infamous dancer at their Live at Reading gig. David Riley was the bassist for legendary British noise rock band Fudge Tunnel and is currently the bassist for doom masters Conan.

MKJ was in Forcefed and Meatfly, two influential British hardcore bands of the early 90s.

Now they have produced a wild lo-fi trip into an alternative punk universe where they tame the audio chaos and explore the psychedelic side of consciousness.

Their roots lie in fear, rituals and subliminal melodies. It's dirty and grimy, guttural, grating and even dubby.

All in the most beautiful way. Their self-titled debut album is available on vinyl in a limited edition of 300 copies.
